Peer Tutoring

The Fall 2024 Peer Tutoring schedule will be posted on the . Peer Tutoring sessions are free and open to current º£½ÇÉçÇø students.

How it Works

  • Daytime tutoring sessions are held as drop-in sessions, on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Evening tutoring sessions are held by appointment only in 30 to 60 minute increments.
  • Peer tutors will assist in several ways: they will explain conceptual material, guide students on how to solve problems, and provide independent learning strategies.
  • In-person tutoring takes place in Dinand 205Ìý(evening and daytime). Students may also request a virtual tutoring session when scheduling an appointment.

Certification

In April 2021, our peer tutoring training program became internationally recognized by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) as a Level 1 tutoring program.ÌýCRLA certification establishes internationally accepted standards of skills and best practices.Ìý

STEM+E & Spanish Tutoring

STEM+E tutoring is a great resource for any student enrolled in intro and upper-level Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Psychology and Neuroscience courses.

Spanish tutoring sessions are offered by upper-level Spanish tutors who work with students on vocabulary, grammar, speaking, and other Spanish concepts. They can help students in courses 301 and lower.
