Siri Hustvedt: Vocation of the Writer

Siri HustvedtAbout the Speaker: American novelist and essayist Siri Hustvedt is the author of “The Blazing World” (Simon & Schuster), published in March of 2014. Hustvedt also is the author of internationally bestselling novels “What I Loved” and “The Summer Without Men.” She has published three collections of essays and nonfiction work including, “The Shaking Woman or A History of My Nerves.” She is the recipient of the 2012 International Gabarron Prize for Thought and Humanities.

About the Talk: Siri Hustvedt talks about the power of language, the quasi-emotions experienced when reading a good story, and fiction as a vehicle for truth.
