Media and Events Assistant

Job Description

The Media and Events Assistants will play vital roles in supporting the J.D. Power Center staff through various duties including:

  • Serving as Ambassadors of the J.D. Power Center at Admissions events and other informational sessions (this includes having a knowledge of and experience with J.D. Power Center Programs to be able to answer basic questions about our programs to students, parents, faculty, staff, and/or community partners)

  • Attending J.D. Power Center events, including information sessions, talks, celebrations, and community partner appreciation receptions, providing assistance as required

  • Creating engaging and thoughtful, creative social media content in relation to J.D. Power Center events and happenings, to market our events to our audiences, as well as to share J.D. Power Center updates

  • Assist the Assistant Director of the J.D. Power Center with the creation of the J.D. Power Center newsletter

  • Assist as needed with other J.D. Power Center administrative tasks

 

Hours per week: 4-6 (note: hours may vary week to week, depending on student’s schedule and on JPDC events; student will work no more than 6 hours per week)
